Real stories of hope, healing, and new beginnings
Real veterans, real success stories - Helping our heroes reclaim their lives
Every veteran who comes through our program has a unique story and unique needs. Through our comprehensive approach combining housing assistance, mental health support, vocational training, and community resources, we're helping veterans rebuild their lives with dignity and purpose.
"We don't just provide a handout - we provide a hand up. Our goal is to give veterans the tools, training, and support they need to become self-sufficient and thrive."

We work directly with the U.S. Department of Veteran's Affairs to provide what they cannot - security deposits, first and last month's rent, and move-in costs that keep veterans off the streets.
Addressing the "800 lb. gorilla in the room" - veteran mental health, PTSD, and substance abuse issues that often go undocumented and untreated.
Through the Veteran's Skilled Trades Center, veterans learn construction trades while building homes and rebuilding their lives.
We provide comprehensive support services that address all aspects of successful reintegration into civilian life.
"I was living in my car for eight months after I came back. The VA helped with healthcare, but I couldn't afford first and last month's rent. VHHP stepped in and got me into an apartment. Now I'm working construction and paying my own rent. They gave me my dignity back."
- James M., U.S. Army Veteran
"I was facing my third strike and looking at serious prison time. The Veteran Court gave me a chance to go through the Skilled Trades Center instead. I learned carpentry, got clean, and now I have a job with a contractor. This program saved my life."
- Robert T., U.S. Marine Corps Veteran
"PTSD nearly destroyed my marriage and my life. The counseling I received through VHHP was different - they understood what I'd been through. Combined with the structure of working on construction projects, I finally started healing. My wife says she has her husband back."
- Michael D., U.S. Air Force Veteran
"After detox at the VA hospital, I had nowhere to go and no job skills. The Skilled Trades Center taught me electrical work while I stayed sober. Work became my therapy. I've been clean for 18 months and on my way to earning my journeymen certification."
- David K., U.S. Navy Veteran
Out of respect for our veterans' privacy, all testimonials are shared with permission and use first names and last initials only to protect identities.
